Who Hates Who?

It is important to the see to the root of a thing. What is behind all of the upheaval in our country today? What is the spirit that is driving the political agenda in America? It is the antichrist spirit. The restraints that have held in place our society over the history of our country, and indeed, the history of the world, are being removed. God is allowing this. It is in accordance with Psalm 2.

1 ¶  Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?
2  The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3  “Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”

What we are seeing is the apex of the rebellion of the Adamic nature against God. It is ironic that part of this antichrist spirit’s rhetoric is tolerance and diversity. The accusations of hate and hate mongering are constantly thrown into the faces of those who don’t agree. The irony is that all hate originates with this spirit. It is the source of all accusations. And it isn’t just any hate. It is hate towards the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Now, it was stated how we must look to the root of a thing to understand it. People do not understand what really drives them. It doesn’t matter if the channels of this spirit are even atheists; the hatred of the fallen, Adamic nature, driven by satan himself, is expressed against Christ, the only source of righteousness. Jesus expresses this truth in John 3.

19  “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
20  “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21  “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

John 15
20  “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
21  “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.
22  “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23  “He who hates Me hates My Father also.
24  “If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.
25  “But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘THEY HATED ME WITHOUT A CAUSE.’

We are in the days of Adam’s final cover up. But for those who have eyes to see, the hatred of Christ and His righteousness is being revealed. There is no other explanation for the vehemence being spewed at the present time through those who are throwing off the restraints that have been imposed upon mankind.

Mat. 10
21  “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
22  “You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.

The phrase “You will be hated by all because of My name” appears four times in the Gospels, spanning Mathew, Luke, and Mark. It is indicative of the spirit that is set against the kingdom of God. Regardless of the grey that still lingers, as we move forward all grey areas will disappear. Jesus said that He knows His own, and that His own know Him (John 10:14). This will become more and more clear. It is according to Mal. 3.

16  Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.
17  “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
18  So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

Let’s return to the passages in the 2nd Psalm that opened this message.

1 ¶  Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?
2  The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3  “Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”

Here is God’s response to verses 1-3:

4  He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.
5  Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,
6  “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”
7 ¶  “I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8  ‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
9  ‘You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’”
10 ¶  Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth.
11  Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling.
12  Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

Verse six references Zion, God’s holy mountain. We know Zion is a spiritual realm; it is the heart of God’s presence. Christ’s Lordship and Kingship is established in Zion. Verses 7-9 are prophetic of Christ, but they are also prophetic of sons begotten IN Christ. The Lord says He will give the nations as an inheritance. And then verse nine says “You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.” We can run reference on this statement and see that the Lord Jesus Himself speaks this promise in Rev. 2:24 to those who overcome.

Many things seem unclear now. But God is bringing spiritual sight to see and understand His purposes, and to perceive the roots of what is taking place in the earth.
