A Time of Purim

The following two passages of Scripture should be studied carefully. They reveal to us the purposes of God right now. We can take the principles revealed in these passages and bring them into real time. We are to be more than observers in what God brings forth. We are to be the channels of its manifestation. We are to prophesy the word of the Lord as it is real to us. We speak His purposes into being.

2nd Kings 7
3 ¶  Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why do we sit here until we die?

4  “If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ then the famine is in the city and we will die there; and if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us go over to the camp of the Arameans. If they spare us, we will live; and if they kill us, we will but die.”

5  They arose at twilight to go to the camp of the Arameans; when they came to the outskirts of the camp of the Arameans, behold, there was no one there.

6  For the Lord had caused the army of the Arameans to hear a sound of chariots and a sound of horses, even the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.”

7  Therefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents and their horses and their donkeys, even the camp just as it was, and fled for their life.

8  When these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they entered one tent and ate and drank, and carried from there silver and gold and clothes, and went and hid them;and they returned and entered another tent and carried from there also, and went and hid them.

9  Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, but we are keeping silent; if we wait until morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let us go and tell the king’s household.”

1st Kings 22
20  “The LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said this while another said that.

21  “Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’

22  “The LORD said to him, ‘How?’ And he said, ‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ Then He said, ‘You are to entice him and also prevail. Go and do so.’

23  “Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and the LORD has proclaimed disaster against you.”

Powerful forces, along with most the media, are set against the purposes of God that He has set in motion through the Trump presidency. The hatred and arrogance reaches into the heavens. But we must not make too shallow an interpretation. This is about far more than politics and Donald Trump. And it is about more than just America. Psalm 2 is the psalm of the hour.

1 ¶  Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?
2  The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3  “Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”
4  He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.
5  Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,
6  “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”
7 ¶  “I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8  ‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
9  ‘You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’”
10 ¶  Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth.
11  Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling.
12  Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

At a time when the nations are in a fury and rage against the Lord, Zion comes forth. The hatred and arrogance displayed against Trump far exceed Trump as a man. Donald Trump is but a channel God is using to confront and stir up the wickedness in high places. By high places I mean the spiritual realm where all evil has its origins. What is being played out in the earthly realm is just the unseen realm becoming visible.

The above passages of scripture show us how God Himself becomes the source of confusion and disarray in the camp of the enemy. We are to prophesy a new manifestation of the Tower of Babel. We know that historically God confused the languages of the earth to thwart the unity of evil.

Gen. 11
6  The LORD said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.
7  “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”
8  So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city.

Notice verse 8. The builders of the “tower” were scattered abroad over the face of the earth, and they stopped building the city. We are to speak forth a new level of the confusion of tongues. That which the spirit of antichrist would establish in the earth in the way of globalism and total control of the nations, is to be brought down. This goes to the heart of Rev. 17 and 18. Let’s look at a couple of verses from Rev. 18.

7  “To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ‘I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.’
8  “For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.

I seem to be jumping from the spiritual side of things to the natural realm. But it is all one and the same. It’s just a matter from which perspective we view it all from. If we can’t see clearly the spiritual forces behind all that is happening, that’s all right. We can certainly see the earthly manifestation of it all. It’s in the news every day.

The confusion of tongues, God causing His enemies to flee because they think they hear approaching troops, and lying spirits in the mouths of the “prophets” all point toward the unity of those opposing God’s purposes being shattered. Jesus Himself said that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Watch the media closely. Look beyond “fake news.” Watch the media begin to report stories they believe are true, only to have them come back on their own heads. All of this is to marginalize what has paraded as THE voice of truth. The deception that has ruled over Western Civilization is be thoroughly broken. In turn, all nations will be affected.

The book of Esther tells the story of how certain forces, led by Haman, sought to destroy the Jews. Everything was leaning a certain way, and Mordecai, a leader among the Jews, was to be hung. Instead, in a great reversal, Haman hung instead on the very gallows he had built for Mordecai. The feast of Purim was instituted to commemorate this event. To this day the Feast of Purim is celebrated. As with all the feasts instituted by God, we look to their spiritual significance, not the letter of celebration. The Feast of Purim is celebrated in early March. This holds much spiritual significance for us. The feast represents a realm of reversal, that which seeks to destroy, is itself destroyed. The forces that have been gathered since Trump’s election are at a zenith. They think they smell blood in the air. But the “blood” shall be their own.

And what is the end game to all of this? It is an atmosphere in which the righteousness of God can prevail, and be revealed to the hearts of many, many people. As much as Christians have cried for “revival,” we are finding we ourselves become the channels for creating the atmosphere for it. Our faith must be for God’s righteousness to be revealed. In such an atmosphere true revival can be realized.

  1. Like you and I have said Donald Trump is just a man but he is a man that is being used by God to bring forth all this confusion and exposing the truth and the false. Amen this is really good. The Lord is to be revealed and we’re to be sealed in a Oneness in the Lord.
