13  For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.

14  For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified;

15  for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.

16  For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

17 ¶  (as it is written, “A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS HAVE I MADE YOU”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.

7  Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham.

 There is a heritage of faith whose roots go all the way back to Abraham.  Being a Christian does not automatically graft us into this heritage. This heritage is defined by a hunger and thirst to know the Lord and to walk in His promises. The writer of Hebrews says of Abraham:

Heb. 11:
8  By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

9  By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;

10  for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

 There was something in Abraham’s heart looking beyond the blessings of the natural realm. He was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. He was looking for Zion, the spiritual realm in which we come know Him just as He is. It is the realm in which all His promises come alive to us.

 The sons of Abraham are being drawn near to God in this hour. It is a time of ingathering.  Many of God’s sons do not know yet who they are; it remains for them to discover themselves. This website is dedicated to all those yearning for a closer walk with God.
